PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that his government is working relentlessly to bring special children into the mainstream by making all the necessary facilities available.
“Govt of Goa and Institutions working in the sector are working relentlessly to bring special children into the mainstream by making all the necessary facilities available. Under the New Education Policy, PM Narendra Modi emphasized Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” said CM Sawant.
He further said the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will be implemented across the state from the next academic year.
“Holistically, it will be inclusive of all, including professional colleges. We have already started discussing. Next year, NEP will be implemented at the Higher Education level,” Sawant said.
According to Sawant, who also holds the Education Ministry post, some aspects of the NEP would be implemented in the state at the nursery, lower KG, and upper KG levels.
The state’s higher education institutions, including professional colleges, stand to undergo the implementation of the NEP from 2023.
