VASCO: Agitated residents of New Vaddem on Tuesday confronted the doctors and the staff of Chicalim sub district hospital in order to mark protest over the death of a 6-year-old girl Vani Khanapur, residing near Durga Mata temple, at New Vaddem due to suspected dengue fever (NS1).
The girl was admitted at Chicalim sub district hospital on Monday evening. She was shifted to GMC hospital at Bambolim during the wee hours on Tuesday after her BP fall down.
She succumbed to dengue fever while undergoing treatment at GMC at around 9 am on Tuesday.
Residents of New Vaddem have alleged that the death of the girl was reported due to the negligence of doctors at Chicalim sub district hospital and investigate the case by the concerned authorities.
