PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that no decision has been taken yet to re-open primary and high schools.
“As of now, no decision has been made to re-open primary and high schools. A task force meeting will happen, and a decision will be taken,” said CM Sawant on the sidelines of a government function.
He further said that the matter is under consideration of the Government.
“Schools will be opened after the decision of the Covid Task Force,” said CM Sawant.
Sawant said that those teachers who have not taken the vaccination would have to produce a negative RTPCR test report every week.
No vaccination for children up to 18 years has been yet approved and provided by the Government of India,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister said that all efforts would be made to retain the children in the school below the age of 14 years who opted out of schools due to pandemic.
CM addressing the media on National Youth Parliament said that the state government had received around 2500 registrations for the National Women Parliament.
“We have got 2500 entries of participation for the National Women Parliament, union minister Smriti Irani will be present and inaugurate the function on November 8,” he added.
