PORVORIM: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) today announced that admissions to Engineering colleges in Goa will be based on JEE Main scores from the academic year 2024-25.
Presently admission to engineering courses in the state is based on Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET).
“GCET shall not be conducted in 2024,” states the DTE notice. Admissions to B.E. (Engineering) Degree courses in the State of Goa for the academic year 2024-25 shall be carried out on the basis of JEE Main 2024 scores,” the circular states.
Further, Admissions to B. Pharm. (Pharmacy) Degree courses in the State of Goa for the academic year 2024-25 shall be carried out on the basis of the best aggregate percentile marks scored in Physics and Chemistry subject at either NEET or JEE Main conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in 2024 scores.
“All students seeking admission to MBBS BDS.BHMS(Homeopathy). BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences(Paramedical), B.Sc. in Nursing & B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses in the State of Goa in the academic year 2024-25 are required to appear and qualify at NEET UG-2024 (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test),” it states.
Admission to B. Arch. The course shall be based on scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by the Council of Architecture, and the qualifying exam (Std. XIlth/HSSC/ Diploma).
