PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has clarified that the Goa government has not granted any licence to a new casino and has no plans to issue licences for new casinos.
Speaking on the casino issue, Sawant said the six casinos currently operating in the state are existing establishments and stressed that no new casino licence has been granted.
“We have not given any licence to any new casino. The six existing casinos are old, and we will not give any licence to any new casino,” Sawant said.
