PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured that no higher secondary teacher working on a three-year contract or as a guest lecturer will be removed from service.
He said teachers can continue working in their existing schools until the Education Department completes its streamlining process. After the process, they may be transferred to nearby schools and accommodated within the education system.
Sawant also appealed to students not to resort to protests, saying their concerns can be addressed through discussions with the government and education authorities.
The Chief Minister said the government is committed to ensuring that teachers are not left without employment during the streamlining process.
