MAPUSA: Anjuna Police conducted a drug raid near Ganpati temple, Assgao, Bardez Goa and arrested one person for possessing charas.
As per SDPO Mapusa, Jivba Dalvi accused person, namely Niyaz S/o Abdul Khader, age 28yrs, r/o Hno. 525, Bhovtawado, Assgao, Bardez Goa, was found in possession of 11.09 grams of Narcotic Drug Charas W/Rs. 25,000/-.
The accused person had come to deliver drugs to prospective customers when he was nabbed.
He has been placed under arrest under sections 22(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and presently in police lock up.
Further investigation is in progress with PI Prashal Dessai and PSI Dhiraj Devidas of Anjuna PS
