PANJIM: Progressive Front of Goa (PFG) today has written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting his intervention in Mhadei and Mollem issue
On 7th October 2020, we Progressive Front of Goa under the Banner of Save Mhadei Save Goa and Save Mollem Campaign had gone to Chief Ministers office to Submit Memorandum with three demands expecting that the Chief Minister of Goa who terms Mhadei as more than mother to him will meet, listen to the Grievances and receive the memorandum prepared by us.
However the Chief Minister denied to meet us and further directed the police force to arrest us and we were arrested.
“It is important to note that after arresting the Police didn’t had any instruction and we were taken for a ride by police for almost 45 minutes as the police didn’t had any instruction as to which police station we were supposed to be taken,” said Mahesh Mhambre
He further said that the Chief minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant with the help of police force created panicky and tense situation firstly by not meeting the members and then by arresting us for no reason.
“We having no faith in Dr. Pramod Sawant and his Government, therefore request you to look into matter,” he added
