FATORDA: In the ongoing investigation into a case of police impersonation, Fatorda police have discovered the involvement of a third accused.
The accused, a 24-year-old Thane, Maharashtra native named Vijay Kishan Vishnoi, is alleged to have been instrumental in overseeing a Federal Bank account connected to the crime.
The two previously apprehended individuals were subjected to prolonged interrogation when the breakthrough occurred. Police started technical surveillance when they disclosed Vishnoi’s purported involvement.
Vishnoi was quickly arrested on Monday after a police team was sent to Mumbai and carried out exact monitoring and close observation. While the inquiry is ongoing, he has been placed under four days of police detention remand.
