PONDA: Ponda MLA and Agriculture Minister today held a meeting with officials of various departments, including PWD, Sewerage, Electricity, Traffic and Police officials, to conduct a review, follow up on ongoing development works as well as solve the various problems faced by Citizens in Ponda City. The meeting was held at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir Ponda.
On occasion, PMC Chairperson Ritesh Naik and Councillors were present.
The Sewerage Officials told Minister Ravi Naik most of the Sewerage work on 15 MLD Ponda STP is completed, and soon, they are going to inaugurate the project.
Ravi Naik all over city high mast lamp installed. Land for bypass road acquisition is progressing.
He said the New Shastri hall would be constructed through GSUDA. New Fish Market at Upper Bazaar. New Ponda Master Plan will be ready soon. The discussion on nullah and river desolation was also held.
Traffic problem and law and order problem was also discussed.
Minister Ravi Naik asked the Deputy Collector to cut the trees leaning on-road and electric wires under the disaster management scheme. The officials were directed to solve water supply problems and were required to clear the water accumulated in the underpass during the monsoon.
It was decided to meet with the Management of Almeida School to solve the traffic congestion and ensure the safety of school children during school hours when the road becomes crowded.
PMC sent a proposal for Rs 150 Crore underground power cabling for Ponda City
PONDA: PMC Ritesh Naik said the tender to appoint a Consultant for Ponda Master Plan has been Floated, and the consultant would come to Ponda to discuss with stakeholders at Ponda on 5 July.
Under revamp redistribution scheme Rs 150 Crore are estimated for power revamp in Ponda City and proposal has been sent to Central Government for approval where in there would be total revamp of power distribution in Ponda City along with new transformers.
