PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that people have started moving towards Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Homeopathy treatments post the Covid pandemic.
CM Sawant was addressing the gathering on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day.
“Post COVID-19 Pandemic, people have started moving towards Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Homeopathy treatments; after the pandemic, the people have started concentrating on their health,” said CM Sawant
He further said that Homoeopathy has become a trusted form of medicine as a testament to the power of holistic healing & dedication of practitioners.
“On World Homoeopathy Day, let us acknowledge the contribution of Homoeopathy in providing safe & effective healthcare solutions to people worldwide,” he added.
Dr Sawant said medical and wellness tourism will ramp up in the state with the involvement of all ayurvedic doctors and practitioners, besides setting up exclusive health and wellness centres on the lines of primary health centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs).
He said that in order to ensure equitable development and reduce the disparity between coastal and hinterland Goa, the state government is shifting its focus from beach tourism to medical tourism, for which hinterlands have great potential.
“We need to amend some laws to promote medical tourism, and it will be done soon,” Sawant said.
Sawant also said that Goa has a favourable business environment, and our start-up policy aims to create jobs and make Goa the most-preferred start-up destination in India.
