BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has urged students to start preparing for competitive examinations from now, saying that securing government jobs in the future may become increasingly difficult without competitive exam qualifications.
Speaking at the ‘Vedanta Utkarsh’ scholarship felicitation ceremony organised by Vedanta Mining Company, Sawant felicitated meritorious students and said that the youth are the country’s greatest strength.
He urged students not to rely solely on conventional education but also focus on skill development, innovation and entrepreneurship. Students must acquire skills relevant to changing times and prepare themselves to face an increasingly competitive environment, he said.
Sawant said the younger generation will play a crucial role in achieving the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’. With education, skills and hard work, the youth can contribute to building a stronger and self-reliant India, he said.
“Viksit Bharat 2047” is not merely the government’s vision but a goal for every Indian, Sawant said, urging the youth to actively participate in nation-building and contribute to the country’s development.
