QUEPEM: BJP workers took a potshot at Congress Quepwm MLA Altone D’costa, advising Dcosta not to take credit for the development done by BJP leader Babu Kavlekar.
Current Congress MLA should not take credit for the work done or started by ex-Deputy CM Babu Kavlekar during his tenure. BJP workers criticized Quepem Congress MLA Altone D’costa during a Press conference held at Morpilla Quepem.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and former Wuepem MLA Babu Kavalekar are responsible for developing the Quepem constituency, said the Morpirlla BJP workers.
At the Morpirla press conference held by Deputy Sarpanch Manisha Velip, Panch Dinesh Gaokar, former Sarpanch Khushali Velip, Quepem BJP Mandal President Sanjay Velip, Babuso Velip were present on this occasion.
In the last few days, Kavalekar had installed solar-powered water pumps (bore wells) and inaugurated them. Velip said the work did not start as the election code of conduct was in force.
“Altone D’costa is trying to mislead the people by taking credit for solar-powered water pumps,” he said.
“It’s been two months since Altone D’costa became an MLA, and everyone knows who can do so much in these two months, and DCosta is trying to throw dust in people’s eyes,” he said.
In the Quepem constituency, Kavalekar has carried out overall development works in the municipal and panchayat areas.
Velip said that D’costa should not take credit for the inauguration.
He said that the people of Quepem knew what Kavalekar had done. Quepem present MLA should stop misleading the people by inaugurating the work done by the Kavlekar, Khushaali Velip said.
