Monserrate was speaking after the inauguration of the Bio Methanation Plant at Raj Bhavan by Governor P.S Sreedharan.
“This is the second Plant that has been installed in Raj Bhavan in collaboration with the Corporation of the City of Panaji for Clean and Green Waste Management,” said Monserrate.
He further urged restaurants in the capital to install Bio Methanation Plant and use the same gas for cooking food.
“This is the 10th project in the CCP jurisdiction, and this mechanism for sustainable ways to manage waste and utilise gas for cooking,” he added.
Monserrate also said that there is a 50 per cent subsidy to install such a plant.
