PANAJI: Revolutionary Goans on Sunday said it will join hands with the ‘Goa Su-Raj Party’ and contest the assembly elections in Goa earlier next year. The party also said it intends to field 40 candidates. Despite the heavy downpour, the people of Goa turned out in large numbers at Azad Maidan, Panaji and witnessed this crucial political announcement.
Revolutionary Goans Supremo, Manoj Parab highlighted that they were left with no option but to contest under the banner of the Goa Su-Raj Party because they were unable to get the party registered.
“Revolutionary Goans wanted to contest the assembly elections with a single symbol and hence decided to carry out the same by joining hands with Goa Su-Raj Party. The BJP has tried their best from tarnishing our image and destroy us, but we have emerged stronger. They should not quit playing games, and they will not be able to stop this revolution. Nothing can stop us from bringing Goa back into the hands of the Goans,” said Manoj.
“No matter what path we walk down, God is one step ahead. He’s laying out our path and preparing our steps. The name of the party may be different but the zeal, passion, sacrifice, dedication, honesty of the revolutionaries will remain the same. In fact, now we will work even harder to win the 2022 elections,” he added.
Revolutionary Goans leader Viresh Borkar pointed out that this election would be a fight for our existence and identity. The time has come to free Goa from the various political parties that have ruled here since Independence.
“The election most of the prominent parties are standing at a crossroads where its influence has diminished over time and is now limited only to some pockets. This is indeed a battle to prove our existence in Goa. It is true that we have lost a lot at the hands of these evil politicians in the last few years. We need to reconstruct and heal the pristine tourist paradise Goa once was,” said Borkar.
Founder President of Goa Su-Raj Party, Floriano Lobo and President Inacio Vaz were present at the announcement.
