PANAJI: Backing their decision to go solo for the Lok Sabha polls 2024, Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) today said that their decision is been appreciated by the people, who feel betrayed by united opposition.
Addressing a press conference, RGP President Manoj Parab said that after a short break, the party is back to expose and take on the BJP led government.
“It was the right decision to go solo in the Lok Sabha election. We are now receiving feedback from the people that it was the correct choice not to align with parties like Congress or AAP,” said Manoj Parab, Chief of RG.
He further said that he had taken a step back and have been watching the developments in the state for the last seven months.
“Now, we have returned with a revolution to address the issues of the state, said RG Chief Manoj Parab while addressing his first-ever press conference after his comeback,” he added
RGP Chief Manoj Parab also dismissed the news that MLA Viresh Borkar is set to join Congress. Parab says the report is just a rumor, and Borkar remains firmly a part of the Revolutionary Goans.
Parab also said that cash for jobs is not a new scam for Goa.
“It was started during Congress rule and it has been taken ahead by the BJP government. BJP has done it in a corporate way. Cash for Jobs scam has been going on for last 25-30 years,:” he added
Parab also said that RGP will contest on selective seats for 2027 election. We will now start building the party again.
“The RGP will reinitiate the membership drive, the donation drive will also start. The decision on fielding the candidates will be taken by the party’s election committee,” said RGP chief Manoj Parab
