PANAJI: The political confrontation within the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has intensified, with Ajay Kholkar openly challenging MLA Viresh Borkar to take action against him and former party state president Manoj Parab hitting back at Borkar’s remarks.
Taking to social media, Kholkar said he was ready to face the consequences and dared Borkar to initiate action. He also alleged that Borkar could engage accountants and legal advisers using ₹3 crore received from Girish. “Kupp warning zali… Bring it on… am waiting,” Kholkar posted.
Parab, meanwhile, questioned whether Borkar would also act against those who had slept on the footpath at Patto and Azad Maidan. In a pointed Facebook response, he asserted that he remained active, writing, “Manoj Parab Jeeto Asaaa, moronk na,” meaning that he was alive and had not disappeared.
The exchange follows Borkar’s statement that Kholkar had no authority to represent the party and that his attendance at a meeting at the Chief Electoral Officer’s office was unauthorised. Borkar warned of legal action against anyone misusing the RGP’s name and announced plans to issue authorised identity cards to party members. He also alleged BJP involvement in the controversy.
With leaders exchanging sharp remarks publicly, the dispute over RGP’s authority and representation has escalated, with the possibility of legal action adding another dimension to the row.
