A Sancoale resident has been arrested by Verna police for allegedly threatening and seeking ransom from Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho.
Godinho had filed complaint with police after he recieved threat and ransom messages from an unknown person.
Police said that they are now verifying whether the same accused is also involved in sending threatening messages to the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and two others.
Police said that the investigation is on.
