MARGAO: SCC Lotoulim easily past over Ambelim Sports Club 2-1 to enter into the quarterfinals of the 7th Martin’s Cup football tournament organized by Betalbatim Sports Club and played at Panchayat ground on Monday.
Both teams took time to settle and try to take control of the game but it was Ignitious Dsilva first to hit the net in the 15th minute of Play then Ambelim tried hard but couldn’t find the equaliser as Arvind shot from the 30yard missed the target by whiskers and Lotoulim remained 1-0 lead till the half time
As the match entered into the second session SCC Lotoulim scored again to double the lead through Shelford Fernandes in the 45th minute of play while Ambelim pulled one goal back through Arvind Fernandes in the injury time.
Shelford Fernandes of SCC lotoulim was awarded man of the match by Pobre Pereira.
