PANJIM: State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) issues circular curtailing syllabus for Std I to VIII by 30 percent for the current academic year 2020-21 due to ongoing pandemic.
The curtailed portion will not to be included in the Term-End Examination. The decision was taken by Board of Studies after detail deliberation.
“30 percent syllabus curtailed for student from std i to viii for current academic year. The curtailed portion not to be included in term end examination,” the circular shows
Further the circular states that no curtailment of portion in language and skill subjects.
The circular has been issued to all schools detailing out curtailment in each subjects. Also the schools are asked to encourage students for self study the portion thst is curtailed
Earlier in July, Goa Board had curtailed syllabus for class IX to XII by 30 percent.
Meanwhile, the govt is currently holding series of consultations with stakeholders to decide on re-opening of schools.
