SANKHALI: With the rise in COVID-19 cases, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said schools will re-open as per schedule but the situation will be monitored till the next fort night.
“The number of Covid cases is increasing but schools will start from Monday 6th June. The situation will be monitored for the next fortnight ,” said CM Sawant
Sawant also urged people to follow Covid-appropriate behavior.
“I appeal to the people to follow Covid appropriate behavior as the cases are increasing in the state. Have directed Directorate of Health Services to take precautions,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a function.
Sawant said that Goa government has launched a massive drive on June 5, as part of which booster shots would be given free of cost.
“Those who have completed nine months after the second dose, they should take their booster dose. This includes those above sixty (years), health workers, frontline workers. Take a booster shot at your nearby primary health centres on June 5,” Sawant said.
