New Delhi: A former employee associated with the management of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has levelled a series of allegations against individuals linked to the administration of the Ram Mandir, adding to the controversy surrounding the ongoing donation theft investigation.
The former staff member, who claimed to have worked at the temple for nearly 18 months, alleged that Tinnu Yadav, described as a close associate and driver of former trust general secretary Champat Rai, would allegedly ask sevadars and employees to massage his feet.
The former employee further alleged that former trust member Anil Mishra and official Gopal Rai exercised significant control over day to day affairs within the temple premises and that employees faced harassment and pressure in the workplace.
According to the allegations, appointments and job security within the organisation often depended on recommendations from influential individuals, while relatives and acquaintances of senior figures allegedly received employment opportunities. The former staffer also claimed that commissions were allegedly collected from smaller firms seeking contracts related to temple operations.
At the same time, the former employee said he had no complaints against Champat Rai and declined to make any allegations against him.
The remarks come as investigators continue to probe the alleged embezzlement of donations collected at the temple. Several arrests have already been made in connection with the case, while authorities are examining possible financial irregularities and whether a wider network may have been involved.
Investigators are also reviewing operational procedures related to donation handling, security arrangements and administrative oversight as the inquiry continues to expand.
