PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar yet again took on TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane, claiming that his mental state is not stable.
“Vishwajit Rane’s mental state is not stable, and he is in need of a medication; he tends to forget certain things; he knows which car I have but doesn’t know who am I,” said Patkar
He further said that Rane should be calm as he holds so many cabinet portfolios.
Patkar demanded to know why no suo moto cases have been against those involved in Vagheri Hill cutting and against the illegal bungalow built within the precincts of the world heritage site at Old Goa.
Rane and the Government for indulging in vindictive politics. “Why differential treatment between party supporters and the rest? We are not heading in the right direction. It is clear that Government is into vindictive politics and targeting people. He played a stunt by filing FIR only in one location. Why not across Goa?” he said.
He alleged that the protesting Anganwadi workers were illegally terminated. Surprisingly, he noted in one case, where the worker is from Curchorem, the reason for termination was the alliance with a union leader, who is a Congress leader. “She has never campaigned for me. She was never involved, so why target her?’ he questioned.
Patkar also demanded that TCP Minister Rane should stop using unethical, undemocratic and arrogant language against elected representatives.
“Rane is suffering from short-term memory loss if he does not know Michael Lobo,” he said.
