If our youth have to remain fit, then we must organize football or cricket tournaments. Then our children go stray elsewhere on the wrong path. When I was approached to organize this tournament, I gave the go-ahead with my full support. We are ready to organize another tournament with double the prize money. I am ready to extend full cooperation and I urge the organizers to take the initiative,” he said.
The MLA said that the projects for the Grounds at Divar and Cumbarjua have been passed costing more than Rs 3 crores each.
He also said that the youth of Divar are talented and hoped that they rise up to greater heights.
“We are all crazy for football, even women. We have so many talented youth in Divar. I am positive that one of our Divar youth will reach the top position in football or cricket. I congratulate the winning team Sonar and Runners Up Maddant Star for playing well and the qualifying teams. You’ll have played in true sportsmanship, brotherhood and team spirit. Winning and losing is part of life. Keep trying, I am with you,” he added.
