PANAJI: St Anthony School Monte de Guirim emerged state champions defeating Fr. Angel’s High School Pilar 3-2 in an electrifying match in the Junior Nehru Hockey Tournament organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, booking their ticket to Delhi.
The match was played on the Astroturf at Peddem.
Mohon, Suraj and Nashon found the net for Guirim and Edimchube & Bithal scored for Fr. Agnel Pilar.
Janata HS Mapusa finished third ahead of South Goa’s Damodar English HS Gudi Paroda.
