PANAJI: The state government today approved and hiked the rate of Dearness Allowance (DA) of 28 % with effect from July 1, 2021, to its employees and employees of GIA Educational Institutions.

The new DA rates will be paid from the month of August 2021 onwards along with the arrears for the month of July 2021.
An office memorandum to this effect was issued yesterday.
The order is likely to benefit around 65,000 to 75,000 employees working in this sector.
