PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today informed that the state level curfew has been extended till August 23.
“The state level curfew which is presently in force in the state will be extended by 8 more days,” said CM Pramod Sawant
The Chief Minister said the occurrence of the Covid Virus Pandemic created heath problems and to overcome this, the Government immediately strengthened infrastructure in the health sector, provided necessary amenities, initiated steps, and worked to save the lives of people.
The frontline workers right from doctors to sweepers who have worked in this critical condition who supported the Government deserves appreciation.
The tourism sector also suffered due to this pandemic. The timely steps taken by the Government resulted in acquiring a certificate from WTT as safe tourist place.
Regarding the ongoing work of Zuari bridge he said the work of first phase Varnapuri, Sada highway, Verna Loutolim missing link, beautification of historical Aguada jail will be completed and would be inaugurated by December 2021.
