PANAJI: Deputy Collector Tiswadi today has informed that the state will not go for another lockdown and has urged establishments and religious places to follow COVID-19 SOPs strictly.
“Goa will not to go for a lockdown; asks establishments and religious places to follow COVID-19 SOPs strictly,” said Deputy Collector Tiswadi Gurudas Dessai says
Dessai further said that Police officials have been told to keep a strict tab on all places including establishments and religious and those found not following protocols will be penalised.
“Police force has been depaloyed at all ourist place in the state to ensure that COVID-19 SoPs are followed at large,” he added
The deputy collector urged all the people having syptoms to get themselves tested and asked them not to skip the testing.
In view of rising cases in the state, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has also appealled all citizens who are eligible for taking the vaccine to come forward and get vaccinated.
Rane also urged the citizens to follow all the SOPs of wearing a mask & following strict social distancing as per govt. Direction.
“With the surge in cases, it is my appeal to those. A vaccine will act as a protective layer against the virus. Those eligible for the vaccine should not shy away,” Rane said
He further his department will interacting with expert committee on steps to be taken to keep the virus under control.
