Recent data reveals that 33% of the 225 registered startups in Goa have been founded by women entrepreneurs, surpassing the national average of 18% for women-led startups in India.
This surge in women-founded startups underscores a positive shift in the entrepreneurial dynamics of the region. It reflects a growing trend of women leveraging state policies and support systems to establish and expand their businesses, particularly in sectors such as hospitality and services. Initiatives like the Goa Startup Yatra, along with various programs and masterclasses, are instrumental in nurturing and empowering these entrepreneurs.
