PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has defended the FCRA Bill, 2026, questioning the opposition to the proposed legislation.
“I don’t know why they are opposing the FCRA Bill, 2026. It is clear-cut; there is nothing to oppose,” Sawant said.
The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid criticism and opposition to the Bill, with the government maintaining that there is no reason for apprehension over its provisions.
