SANGUEM: Villagers of Talsai in Sanguem have strongly condemned reports claiming that the village is receiving safe drinking water, asserting that their long-standing drinking water problems remain unresolved.
During a gathering attended by representatives of 124 families, residents alleged that certain media reports incorrectly stated that the village no longer faced a drinking water issue and that the available water was safe for consumption.
The villagers maintained that the shortage of safe drinking water continues and expressed disappointment over what they described as false and misleading reporting. They said such reports create confusion and weaken their ongoing efforts to secure access to safe and reliable drinking water.
The residents urged media organizations and reporters to verify facts on the ground before publishing such information, emphasizing that accurate reporting is essential to highlight the genuine hardships faced by the community.
The villagers reiterated their demand for the authorities to address the issue and ensure a sustainable supply of safe drinking water to Talsai.
