PANAJI: The State government appointed Task Force Committee has expressed complete dissatisfaction towards the Kala Academy renovation work stating that the work doesn’t even deserve passing marks.
“Task Force Committee on KA held its first meeting; for the renovation work we cannot even give passing marks; there are so many problems right from AC, sound, leakages,” said Chairman Vijay Kenkre
He also said that expertise on board is required to resolve this; next meeting on November 10.
The Task Force was established by the State government last month with the goal of evaluating the current state of the Kala Academy building’s infrastructure work and making recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
Nothing has gotten out of control. We found some minor structural, acoustic, and air conditioning issues during today’s examination that can be fixed.
“We would do all in our power to protect Kala Academy, which is among the greatest institutions in India. We’ve located the issues. We are striving for it,” Kenkre remarked.
Kenkre claimed to have witnessed what transpired during the production he just produced at the Kala Academy auditorium.
“We will talk about everything we saw during the inspection today when we meet on Tuesday. On Monday, the contractor failed to show up. Devidas Amonkar, a spokesperson of Kala Rakhonn Mandd, Goa, stated, “We have called him for the Tuesday meeting. He had demanded a white paper on the restoration process of Kala Academy.”
Before the committee delivers its findings to the government, there can be one more examination.
The Kala Academy was under fire for producing subpar work that incited anger from the people and led them to petition the High Court for guidance to the government.
