PANAJI: State Minister Ramesh Tawadkar has said that all differences between him, MLA Govind Gaude and MLA Ganesh Gaonkar have now been set aside, signalling unity among key Scheduled Tribe leaders ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking ahead of the May 25 Perna Din celebrations held in memory of Late Shri Manguesh Gaonkar and Late Shri Deelip Velip, Tawadkar said all ST leaders would come together on one stage and work collectively for the welfare and progress of the tribal community.
He stated that the focus would now remain on strengthening the ST community rather than continuing political or personal differences. According to Tawadkar, unity among tribal leaders is important to ensure stronger representation and address community concerns more effectively.
Tawadkar further announced that he, Govind Gaude and Ganesh Gaonkar would jointly work during the coming elections and present a united front. He also expressed his support for Govind Gaude.
The minister’s remarks are being seen as an attempt to project solidarity among influential ST leaders in Goa ahead of the next electoral battle.
