COLVA: Three ladies have been taken into custody by the Colva police for assaulting officers and inflicting physical harm to members of the public.
The event happened early on Thursday morning at Colva Beach. The three women, who all lived in Rawanfond-Margao, were identified by the police as Janvi Sable, Madhu Patil, and Neelam Patil.
According to the police, the three of them mistreated members of the public at Colva without cause, and when the police officers attempted to step in, they pushed and mistreated them as well.
The accused also allegedly used foul language to harass police officers outside the Colva police station, assaulted them, inflicted physical harm, and threatened them with severe consequences, all of which prevented the officers from carrying out their legitimate duties.
Following the crime, all three of the accused ladies were taken into custody.
