MARGAO: Margao Town Police have registered a case of alleged illegal cattle transportation and animal cruelty after intercepting a vehicle carrying two buffaloes at Rawanfond Bridge on Wednesday evening.
The complaint was filed by Raj Pratik, DSCPA Officer attached to the Old Collectorate South, Margao.
According to police, the incident occurred on April 30, 2026, at around 4 pm at Rawanfond, Margao, when a vehicle transporting two buffaloes was intercepted near the bridge.
Police have booked the accused, identified as John Dsilva, a resident of Sernabatim, Colva, in connection with the alleged illegal transportation and cruelty to cattle.
Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Aanushka Parab of Goa Police at Margao Town Police Station.
