PONDA: In an accident between Car & two-wheeler at Tisk-Usgaon rider of scooter Mahesh Vasudev Gaude (43yrs, Nanus Usgaon) lost his life while in another accident between truck and scooter at Shiroda, pillion rider Javed Jabir Khan (24yrs, n/o UP) and resident of Shantinagar Ponda died on the spot.
In the first accident that took place at Usgao at 12.30 pm today the driver of Car, namely Tom Xevior, native of Kerala and residing at Kasaile Usgao, stopped his car at Usgao to purchase medicine and suddenly opened the driver side door without ensuring that there are vehicle at his backside due to which the pulsar rider coming from behind dashed to the driver side door and sustained serious injuries on head and body part and while undergoing treatment at GMC succumbed to injury at evening 4.30 pm.
In another accident around 5 pm at Dabolim- Shiroda between a truck and Activa scooter, a pillion rider of Activa scooter Javed S/O Jabir Khan, age -24 yrs r/O Shantinagar Ponda and N/O UP died at the spot.
Activa Scooter was proceeding from Ponda to Savordem, and the truck was proceeding from Savordem to Ponda direction, and when reached Dabolim-Shiroda there was collusion between vehicle due to which pillion rider died on the spot while Rider of Activa scooter Safikur Rehman, age-22 yrs, r/o Shantinagar and N/o UP sustained simple injuries.
