SADA, MORMUGAO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday visited the Murgaocha Raja Sarvajanik Ganesh pandal at Sada, Mormugao, and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha, seeking the blessings of Bappa for the people of Goa.
Sawant was accompanied by BJP state president Damodar Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanawade and Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar. The leaders offered prayers before the idol of Lord Ganesha and interacted with devotees gathered at the venue.
A large number of devotees were present at the pandal during the Chief Minister’s visit, creating a vibrant devotional atmosphere as the nine-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations continued.
Sawant appreciated the positive atmosphere at the venue and said the gathering reflected the spirit of togetherness associated with Ganesh Chaturthi. He said the celebrations provided an opportunity for people from different sections of society to come together in devotion and celebrate the festival collectively.
The Murgaocha Raja Sarvajanik Ganesh celebrations at Sada have attracted devotees throughout the festival, with the pandal witnessing various religious and cultural programmes and the participation of families and residents from across the Mormugao area.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his greetings to the devotees and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Goa.
The visit came amid the ongoing nine-day celebrations at the pandal, with devotees continuing to throng the venue to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The presence of the Chief Minister and other senior leaders added to the festive atmosphere at the celebrations.
The Murgaocha Raja Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandap has been hosting Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with the participation of residents and devotees, maintaining the festive spirit at Sada throughout the nine-day period.
