MARGAO: Margao Town Police have registered a case against two persons for allegedly assaulting a man following a dispute related to a housing society at Aquem Baixo.
According to the complaint filed by Sanjay Trivedi, a resident of Aquem, Margao, the incident took place on July 6, 2026, at around 11.30 am, at the parking area of Osia Lifestyle, Aquem Baixo.
The accused have been identified as Prakash Kothar and Laxmikant Dessai, both residents of Aquem Baixo.
Police said that the accused persons, allegedly acting with common intention, assaulted the complainant with slaps and fist blows during an argument concerning a housing society issue.
The assault allegedly resulted in a grievous injury to the complainant’s left ear.
Margao Town Police have registered Cr. No. 97/2026 under Section 117(2) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Sameer Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station.
