MARGAO: Union minister of Culture and Tourism G.Kishan Reddy assured to aid and support the Damodar Sal site where the Swami Vivekanada resided during his Goa visit if any proposal comes to the government. Reddy said efforts are there to make India a super and youthful nation in the world which was the vision of Swami Vivekananda.
During the maiden visit of Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G. Kishan Reddy and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to the popular Damodar Sal site in Margao, Union minister Reddy gave assurance before media to aid and assist in the maintenance of this historical site related to Swami Vivekananda, if any proposal comes to the government. He said that they have to protect, preserve, and maintain such a site.
Further commenting on the National youth day, Reddy said that various programs to celebrate the Vivekananda Jayanti had been organized all over India.
He opined that the teachings and the values given by the Swami Vivekananda, especially to youths, will inspire many generations for centuries to come.
Reddy also said that Swami Vivekananda’s vision was to make India a number one superior, youthful nation globally, and we are trying to make it true.
Earlier, during his visit, the ministers offered prayers to Lord Damodar and then visited the site where Swami Vivekanda stayed for a few days during his Goa visit.
