
PANJIM: Usgao villagers have submited memorandum to Deputy Collector Ponda seeking inquiry into rising Covid 19 cases in MRF firm in Usgao.The firm has reported over 20 cases.
The villagers have also alleged that the infected people are forced to stay at home rather then sending them to Care centre.
“It has been learnt that this virus positive workers inspire of sending them to health centre they were ordered to stay home by MRF company officials. This virus may spread to their family members and to the entire community.” said Usgao Villager Laxmikant Naik
He said, “MRF has about a 1,000 workers and the company seems to neglect their responsibility. The company is also least bothered about their health of their workers and people living in the surrounding vicinity.”
Meanwhile, the villagers has requested the Deputy Collectorate Ponda to enquire about the issue while staying that necessary action should be taken.
