PANAJI. Vasco twin deaths in cylinder blast case took new twist as the family is suspecting murder of both women.
The father of deceased pregnant woman Shivani Rajavat has accused her husband of conspiracy.
He has written to CM demanding CBI inquiry into the deaths of mother and her pregnant daughter. He has accused his son-in-law and his mother of harassing his daughter for dowry.
There were constant fights between husband and wife due to his relationship with another woman, he wrote in the letter.
According to information, Shivani Rajawat (26) and her mother Jaidevi (50) died in the cylinder blast reported at their rented flat near Rashtroli Jai Santoshi Mata temple, New Vaddem.
Disclosing details of the incident, Ward councillor Sudesh Bhosle said the incident occurred at around 8.45 am. “There was a loud sound in the flat and the window panes and other items were shattered”, he said.
Shivani was four-and-half months pregnant and was staying with her mother Jaidevi and her husband Anurag at New Vaddem.
Shivani’s husband works in the Navy and was not at home at the time of the incident. Sources said the women were supposed to leave for their native place in Gwalior later in the day.
