PANJIM: Crime Branch today has submitted a 1000 odd pages chargesheet againt six accused in killing of Margao based Jeweller Swapnil Walke.
Three prime accused Evender Rodrigues, Omkar Patil and Mustafa Shaikh are booked for murder 3 others who had illegally sold murder weapon to the murder accused are booked under Arms Act.
After a three day search, the Crime Branch team arrested the accused Shani Kumar age 34 years, a resident of Begusarai, Rahul Kumar aged 19 years, a resident of Bishnupur, Begusarai and the third accused Kundan Kumar aged 26 years also from Begusarai.
Director-General of Police Mukesh Kumar Meena while clearing clouds over the Swapnil Walke murder case said the robbery was the motive and that this is very clear. The DGP also rubbished the contradictory theories making rounds.
It may be recalled that during investigation, it was revealed that the accused in the Walke case had gone to Bihar and procured a gun which was used in the alleged murder of Walke on September 2. The police will produce the accused before JMFC for custody.
