MAPUSA: Mapusa police arrested one during a narcotic raid at Parking lot Behind New KTC Bus Terminus Mapusa, Bardez, Goa with Ganja worth Rs 80,000.
The accused is a resident of Assagao N/o West Bengal.
In a Narcotic raid today on October 30, on reliable information team of Mapusa Police Station lead by PSI Yeshwant Mandrekar, PSI Gaurav Naik HC Sushant Chopdekar, PC Akshay Patil, Anand Rathod, Rajesh Kandolkar, Prakash Polekar, PC Laxmikant Naik conducted a narcotic raid at Parking lot Behind New KTC Bus Terminus, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa and arrested one Jarjis Alam S/o Tajer Mahammad, aged 22 years R/o Assagao, Bardez, Goa N/o Basuriya, Gangarampur, Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal who was found in illegal possession of narcotic drug i.e. Ganja weighing 850 grams which he had brought to deliver to his prospective customer.
Narcotic Substance i.e. Ganja weighing 850 grams W/Rs. 80,000/- has been seized from custody of accused Mr. Jarjis Alam
An FIR U/Sec 20 (b) (ii)(A) of NDPS Act registered at Mapusa Police Station and accused Jarjis Alam is arrested and presently in Police Custody.
The raid was conducted under overall supervision of SP North Shri Nidhin Valsan, IPS and SDPO, Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and PI Shitakant Nayak.
Further, Investigation is in progress with PSI Gaurav Naik.
