PONDA: Fully grown Wild bison trapped in an open water tank at Khandola Marcel yesterday night was successfully rescued by the Animal Rescue team led by Amrithsingh.
The wild animal is suspected of falling into a tank while eating fodder grass in the area during nighttime.
The open tank was taught to be constructed for storing water for construction purposes however learned to be abandoned and left open.
The wild Gaur, while eating grass fodder grown up in the area, was accidentally suspected of having fallen into the dry water tank when the incident occurred.
The water tank was 3 meters wide and 2.5 meters deep. The security personnel of residency spotted the animal in the tank trying to come out of the tank this morning, following which the animal rescue team and Amritsing began the rescue operation.
While rescuing the animal, there was a chance of attack by the animal. However, the rescue team started digging around the side of the water tank, and after opening the hole, the animal came out of the tank and rushed towards the jungle area.
