PANAJI: The President of Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Adv. Varad Mardolkar has demanded that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant should announce reservation for “Merit” in government jobs as it has failed to give justice to deserving candidates.
Adv. Mardolkar, commending the guts and efforts of GPCC President Girish Chodankar for exposing the corrupt and manipulative BJP government over ‘Job For Sale’ issue, said that the BJP government is trying to suppress the voice of the latter. “We the youth of Goa are vigilant and will not bow to the pressure tactics of the BJP government. It has manipulated the recruitment process to give jobs to those who have paid money for the same. We will not allow this trend of the BJP, which is doing injustice on deserving candidates.” Mardolkar said.
He said that though Chodankar has exposed the series of ‘Job For Sale’ episodes and placed facts on how manipulation is being done during exams, the Chief Minister is still busy in selling jobs.
“Youths of Goa are becoming frustrated as either they have to pay for jobs or they are not getting jobs as they can’t afford the rate of BJP. This is why we feel that there should be a reservation for ‘Merit’ for government jobs.” Mardolkar asserted.
Mardolkar said that though the results of PWD exams were sent to the Chief Ministers Office on 7th December, they are not posted on the website. “Chief Minister further wants to do manipulation in this list. Hence it is not posted on the website. We strongly oppose and condemn the manipulation being done by BJP.” He said.
He said that if the trend of BJP continues, then youths of Goa will be forced to hit the roads demanding justice.
