“Strict Action Against Land Grabbers”: Yogi Adityanath Assures Swift Justice
UP Chief Minister promises time-bound resolution of grievances during public outreach
New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s commitment to addressing public grievances efficiently, while warning of strict legal action against those involved in illegal land grabbing. The assurance came during a ‘janata darshan’ programme in Gorakhpur, where citizens directly presented their concerns.
Interacting with the gathering, the Chief Minister urged people not to worry, stating that the administration is focused on resolving every issue effectively. He took particular note of complaints related to forcible land occupation and instructed officials to act firmly against those found guilty.
Around 200 people attended the session, during which Adityanath personally met citizens and reviewed their applications. He issued immediate directions to administrative and police officials, stressing the importance of quick, fair, and transparent handling of complaints. Authorities were instructed to ensure that all cases are resolved within a defined timeframe and without bias.
Several individuals also sought financial help for medical treatment. Responding to these concerns, the Chief Minister assured that financial constraints would not prevent anyone from receiving proper healthcare. He directed officials to prepare cost estimates promptly so that assistance for advanced treatment could be released without delay.
The programme was held at the Gorakhnath Temple, a regular venue for such public interactions. Earlier in the day, Adityanath offered prayers at the temple and paid tribute at the samadhi of his guru, Avaidyanath.
The initiative highlights the government’s focus on direct engagement with citizens and reinforces its stance of zero tolerance towards illegal land occupation, alongside ensuring timely administrative action.
