ANJUNA: A 24-year-old Assagao resident has been taken into custody by Anjuna Police on suspicion of carrying narcotic substances worth Rs 1.10 lakh.
The arrest happened on Wednesday during a raid in the vicinity of Tembi Ground in Anjuna.
Suman Bishwokarma was discovered unlawfully in possession of roughly 1.181 kg of what the police suspect to be ganja. The medicines that were confiscated are estimated to be worth Rs 1.10 lakh.
According to the applicable sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, an offense has been reported. Investigations are still under progress.
