ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered a case against a 25-year-old car driver following a road accident near the Government Primary School in Anjuna, in which a pillion rider allegedly sustained a grievous fracture injury.
The case, Anjuna P.S. Cr. No. 93/2026, was registered on September 2, 2026, at around 9.40 pm under Sections 281 and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
According to the complaint filed by 25-year-old Chythra Sunil of Kollam, Kerala, the accident occurred on July 13, 2026, at around 3 pm near the Government Primary School, Anjuna.
Police said the accused, Priya Gulati, was driving car bearing registration number GA-08-AA-7656 from Mapusa towards Anjuna when she allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner without exercising proper care and caution.
Upon reaching the accident spot, the car allegedly collided with a Royal Enfield Hunter motorcycle (KL-05-BB-2187) being ridden by the complainant’s friend, with the complainant travelling as a pillion rider.
Due to the impact, both the rider and pillion passenger fell onto the road. The complainant sustained a fracture injury, which police have described as grievous in nature.
Further investigation is in progress and is being conducted by HC-4923 Vishal K. Gawas of Anjuna Police Station.
