CALANGUTE: A 41-year-old man was found dead inside a car at a parking area near the Saisagar-Udapi Veg Restaurant football ground in Calangute on Tuesday.
According to police, a PCR call was received at around 1.28 pm on August 11, informing them that an injured person was lying inside a car at the parking area.
A 108 ambulance was called to the spot, where the person was examined and declared dead.
Police subsequently opened the vehicle and searched for identification documents. A wallet was found beside the deceased, containing a driving licence identifying him as Shanmukurs Shivaputra, 41, a resident of Hutti Camp, Lingasugur, Raichur district, Karnataka.
The deceased’s body was shifted and preserved at the GMC Morgue, Bambolim, pending post-mortem examination.
Police said the exact cause of death is yet to be established and the post-mortem report is awaited.
