MORJIM: A 68-year-old man died after reportedly experiencing uneasiness, suffocation and difficulty in breathing while having dinner with his family at a restaurant in Temwado, Morjim, on September 27.
According to Mandrem Police, a phone call was received from PHC Siolim at around 6.26 am informing them that Sadiq Mohammed, 68, was brought dead to the casualty.
Police said Mohammed was celebrating his birthday with family members at Jadin Dulyesse Restaurant in Temwado, Morjim, when he suddenly complained of uneasiness and difficulty in breathing.
His friend Nitin Donde and others reportedly attempted CPR, but Mohammed did not respond. He was subsequently shifted to PHC Siolim in a private car, where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
Mandrem Police have registered an Unnatural Death case (UD No. 40/2026) under Section 194 of the BNSS.
